About the Company:
Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Glasgow, is currently looking to recruit a Support Grade Band 2 for up to 31st March 2025 with possible extension contract on a rate of £13.23 PAYE. Working hours Monday to Friday 9am – 4.30pm.
About the Role:
Responsibilities:
* Acting as liaison between Depute Clerks of Justiciary and jurors
* Administration of jurors (e.g. providing jurors with appropriate forms) and assist with DEPS enquiries, as far as possible.
* Daily check-in of sitting jurors
* Setting up Jury room (refreshments, paper, pens etc.).
* Leading Jurors to and from Court to Jury Room and ensuring that their attendance is secure within the Court or room.
* Setup stationery/document folders for arrival of new jury.
* Set out jury folders each morning and secure jury folders at the end of each sitting day.
* Accompanying Jurors to smoking areas at breaks and lunch hours.
* Ensuring Jurors are shown out of the building when Court concludes.
* Assisting in setting up screens/cameras for Vulnerable Witnesses as required.
* Retrieving and returning case papers from the Justiciary Office as required.
* Receiving, sorting and distributing external mail.
* Providing internal mail services by collecting and delivering mail from and to designated points.
* Reception duties dealing with all customers (solicitors, witnesses, jurors, parties etc.).
* Operating the main Reception switchboard, transferring calls and dealing with general enquiries.
* Deliver papers to Court/Chambers as required.
