Within the Environment and Business (E&B) Directorate, we have an ambitious digital agenda to streamline our regulatory services. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Support Officer to support and contribute to the successful delivery of this multi-million-pound digital transformation programme.
As the Project Support Officer, you'll work alongside the Programme Manager, delivery teams and technical teams. You will be focus on effectively supporting our digital projects, and in so doing play a significant part in transforming the digital capabilities for Regulated Industry.
We're looking for someone with great communication and organisation skills, an ability to handle data & information, a commitment to excellent customer service and a desire to provide professional programme management solutions.
You will:
* Manage information flows between services, programme, and stakeholders and ensure smooth running of Governance processes
* Monitor and report on financial performance, including developing and implementing a robust framework for monitoring programme finances.
* Support the delivery of digital services by contributing to the Programme planning and prioritisation.
* Support the delivery and effective communication of the Programme.
* Support the management and timely escalation risks.
This role is ideal for those wishing to progress to a Project Manager in the future. Where appropriate we will support and encourage enrolment onto the Level 4 APM Project Management Apprenticeship.

The team
You'll join our Digital, Innovation and Programmes team. We are responsible for the Digital Strategy and oversee its implementation across Regulated Industry in E&B. The Environment Agency has a strong, user focused, digital agenda.
Our work sets the strategic direction for the delivery of the digital services. We manage, shape and influence programme roadmaps and lead on the wider cultural transformation needed to meet our strategic vision and aims., You'll have an incident management objective in your development plan. We'll support you to find an incident role to suit your needs and circumstances. Appropriate training will be given.
You'll have an EA Office base location, as a national role the working location is flexible with remote working.
We use smart tools to stay connected and reduce travel, some travel and overnights may be required.
