About the Role:
We are currently looking for a motivated Residential Conveyancing Paralegal to join a highly respected Top Legal Firm in the heart of Manchester City Centre. This is an exciting opportunity for a paralegal looking to gain valuable experience in residential property transactions. The role offers up to £25,000 in salary, depending on experience, with hybrid working available after the successful completion of the probationary period.
As a Residential Conveyancing Paralegal, you will work closely with a team of experienced solicitors, assisting with a wide range of residential property matters including sales, purchases, remortgages, and leasehold transactions. You will be an integral part of the team, providing support to clients and ensuring the smooth running of cases.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist the residential conveyancing team with the management of a caseload of residential property transactions, including sales, purchases, and remortgages.
* Draft and prepare legal documents, including contracts, transfer deeds, and completion statements.
* Assist with the exchange of contracts and completion of transactions, ensuring all documentation is completed accurately.
* Liaise with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other third parties to gather relevant information and ensure timely progression of cases.
* Carry out searches, prepare reports, and assist with due diligence for property transactions.
* Ensure all client records and files are properly maintained and updated in line with legal and regulatory requirements.
* Provide general administrative support to the conveyancing team, including answering calls, managing correspondence, and preparing reports.
* Communicate with clients and third parties to provide case updates and answer queries professionally and efficiently.
The Ideal Candidate:
* Previous experience as a paralegal in residential conveyancing is preferred, although candidates with strong administrative experience in property law will also be considered.
* A strong understanding of residential property transactions and the conveyancing process.
* Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
* Good communication skills, with the ability to liaise with clients and third parties in a professional manner.
* A proactive and organized approach, with the ability to manage a busy caseload.
* A positive and flexible attitude, with a willingness to learn and develop.
* Ideally, a law degree or relevant legal qualification (e.g. CILEx) would be beneficial, but not essential.
