We are seeking a passionate and committed Antenna Design Engineer to join our innovative team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with Antenna design and/or power electronics experience to deliver services for a Space programme. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Design, model, and analyse a variety of antenna types, including feed antennas, dielectric lenses, antenna arrays (phased, transmitarrays, reflectarrays), and radomes.- Design antennas for volume manufacturing and prototyping, ensuring designs are scalable and manufacturable. Analyse simulation and measurement results using tools like Matlab, Octave, and Python. Optimise antenna models using multi-objective stochastic optimizers to improve performance. Assist with or lead prototype antenna measurements and testing. Create comprehensive reports and presentations, documenting designs, simulations, measurements, and performance data. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate antenna designs into larger systems. Lead design reviews and provide technical leadership where needed, deputising for the Director as required. SKILLS: Education: BEng, MEng, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field, or equivalent experience. Experience: 5-7 years of experience in antenna design, modelling, and analysis, with a focus on dielectric lenses, antenna arrays, beam shaping, and radomes. Antenna Design: Expertise in designing and modelling homogeneous and inhomogeneous dielectric lenses, phased arrays, transmitarrays, reflectarrays, and radome designs. Electromagnetic Simulation: Proficiency in using 3D full-wave modelling software (e.g., HFSS, CST, FEKO). Programming: Strong skills in Matlab, Python, or similar programming languages for data analysis and simulation. RF Test Equipment: Familiarity with RF test equipment, including signal generators, spectrum analysers, and network analysers. Linux: Comfortable working with Linux operating systems for simulation and analysis tasks. Leadership: Ability to lead a team and take on a leadership role in project management and technical direction, deputising for the Director as needed.
