As a QC / Chemical Off-Loader, the main purpose of your role will involve working in a team and actively becoming a team player assisting with the daily operations of the laboratory and lab equipment, physical testing on incoming chemicals & raw material as well as various finished product samples manufactured on site. You will be off-loading chemical tankers and ensuring deliveries & supply of the chemicals to the production lines are completed with the necessary environmental, health and safety procedures and policies fully applied.
Responsibilities of our QC Technician:
1. Effective application of Quality requirements:
* Complete understanding of product quality critical characteristics and standards.
* Effective understanding and application of in-process and final product specifications.
* Troubleshoot & implement or provide solutions to machinery/testing & processing issues that might impact product quality.
* Inspect & test products with precision measuring tools and record results.
* Supporting third-party requirements such as quality processing samples and related correspondence.
* Support SEA investigation and countermeasure implementation.
Managing/performing the day-to-day operation of the Lab & Tank Farm:
* Accurately performing & recording test results.
* Safely off-load & test incoming chemicals & raw material.
High level of processes/machinery skills, knowledge, and ability:
* Fully trained and able to operate machinery and equipment to the required standards.
* Work in accordance with all information, instruction, training, and supervision.
* Operate machinery to fabricate, manufacture, assemble, or move/scan products.
* Monitor output and adjust machine settings within scope of role to maintain productivity and quality standards.
* Adjust machine as needed for testing, different functions, or other varying needs of testing.
* Assist in the performing of scheduled cleaning duties and basic maintenance activities.

You will have:

* Excellent oral and written communication skills.
* Able to act quickly when problems arise.
* ISO 9001 & 14001 & 37301 Awareness and Understanding.
* Flexible and willing to be trained in multiple areas whatever department and area this may be.
* Able to follow instruction and production schedules.
* COSHH Training and Awareness.
Whilst not essential, the following would be of benefit:
* Knowledge of SAP.
* Basic understanding of touch screen technology.
* Experience of working with various IT programs i.e. MS Word, Excel.
* Previous experience working in a factory/manufacturing process environment.
* Previous experience working in a laboratory.
* Accredited lift truck training.
* Full Driving license.
