About the role:

We are investing in and expanding our Property Maintenance Team and have a new opportunity for a qualified Plumber to join our team. Your working week: We offer a standard 36 hour working week with a flexible approach to meet the needs of the business and the possibility of overtime where required. Training and development opportunities are available to all Plumbers. We can also offer opportunities to progress within Gentoo. As a Plumber at Gentoo, you would carry out the following tasks across our housing stock in Sunderland, a full job description is available to view at Undertaking planned/responsive legionella remedial and general plumbing works covering hot and cold-water systems, pipework, and associated equipment. Cleaning and disinfection on both hot and cold-water systems including storage tanks, calorifiers, TMVs, showers, outlets, pipework, valves etc. Carry out water hygiene monitoring, inspection, and servicing in accordance with HSG274, ACoP L8, Water Regulations, and relevant British Standards. Carrying out flushing and analysis on closed water systems. The Group operate an Emergency Out of Hours Service, which you may be required to work on a rota basis as and when required. The role is subject to a basic DBS paid for by Gentoo.
What we are looking for:

You will need to be a people person with the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of teams, colleagues, and customers within Gentoo to ensure we deliver excellent customer service every time. We are also looking for the following: A full clean UK Driving License. NVQ Level 2, or equivalent City and guilds craft certification in Plumbing. Unvented Hot Water qualification (G3). Experience of Plumbing/Water Safety policies and procedures, as well as knowledge of a variety of hot & cold water systems is essential.
