Senior Payroll Administrator An exciting opportunity has arisen for an individual to join the Business and Finance Team at Lancashire Renewables Ltd as a Senior Payroll Administrator on a 12-month fixed term contract. What you’ll be doing The Senior Payroll Administrator will be responsible for overseeing and managing the end-to-end payroll processes for our employees. The primary focus will be on ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, compliance with statutory regulations, and providing guidance to administrative payroll staff. This role requires a strong understanding of payroll legislation, attention to detail, and the ability to handle complex payroll scenarios. The Senior Payroll Administrator will play a key role in maintaining payroll accuracy and providing exceptional service to our employees. What you will bring To succeed in this role, you’ll need either a CIPP or AAT Level 3 qualification or have significant experience in a similar payroll position. We are looking for someone with the following skills and expertise: In-depth technical knowledge of payroll processes, tax regulations, and compliance requirements. Strong understanding of statutory deductions, including income tax, National Insurance contributions, and pension contributions. Proficiency in using payroll software or systems for end-to-end payroll processing. Familiarity with pension scheme administration and compliance requirements. Leadership and mentoring experience to guide and support administrative payroll staff. Proficient in using MS Office applications, particularly Excel, for data analysis and reporting. Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle payroll cycles and deadlines. Lancashire Renewables Ltd was established for the operation and management of the two waste treatment facilities built for the Lancashire Waste Contract. Our two facilities in Thornton and Leyland are manned 365 days a year. Both sites can process over 5,000 tonnes of residual (black bin bag) waste per week and divert 95% of this material away from landfill. Our aim is to achieve a sustainable future for Lancashire by providing services to process biodegradable and non-biodegradable community waste and our people are vital in helping us achieve this.
