We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEND Teacher to join our newly established Designated Unit for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). This full-time, permanent position offers a competitive salary based on the Main Pay Scale (MPS) or Upper Pay Scale (UPS), plus a SEND allowance.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver a multi-sensory curriculum tailored to the individual needs of students with ASD.
Develop and implement personalized learning plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment that promotes student engagement and progress.
Monitor and assess student development, providing regular feedback to parents and carers.
Contribute to the ongoing development and success of the Designated Unit.
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Experience working with students with ASD, preferably within a special educational needs (SEN) setting.
Strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and relevant legislation.
Ability to differentiate the curriculum to meet diverse learning needs.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
