We have a fantastic opportunity for an Event Transport Project Manager to join our Commercial Delivery team. This is initially a 6-month FTC however may have the opportunity of going permanent. Reporting to the Head of Events and Corporate Delivery, the successful candidate will Project Manage & Deliver the Operations for a major UK sporting event. You will meticulously plan for the event; working with key stakeholders at the venue and provide FTS Operations Management on service delivery. Working collaboratively across First Bus LBUs utilising First Bus Fleet and assets as the primary supplier, whilst also utilising FTS subcontractors as required Skills/Experience General Ensure cost efficient planning and delivery of a safe, punctual, and reliable service across the event operation. Ensure that controls are in place to manage and mitigate risk, providing assurance of compliance to the Head of Programmes & Commercial Delivery. Engage with all internal departments to ensure information around Event & Corporate work is effectively communicated to the business. Lead with all inter-company provision and ensure efficient communications with all LBU's. Become the lead contact for our client and ensure their needs are met in a timely manner. Lead and guide operational teams. Support event team Head of Events & Corporate Delivery as required across the wider Event Programme. Project Management Contribute to the event programme, and the assessment/assignment of the required resources to safely fulfil the contractual & operational requirements. Provide dedicated project management & rigorous governance, in order to plan, manage, track deliver the event. Support line manager with the programme administration for events using project management principles. Lead and implement inter-company workstreams. Monitor, track and manage project deliverables against key milestones to ensure projects are delivered on time/budget. Develop and maintain project RAID logs as required. Periodically provide reports on the Event Programme to the Head of Events & Corporate Delivery Lead on post service outputs; Lessons learned, reporting & financial reconciliation Major Event Delivery Stakeholder management of client reps; to provide management on behalf of FTS & ensure client satisfaction. Manage budget & project costs Support the recruitment of suitable candidates to plan and deliver major event projects as required. Maintain effective and regular communications with all relevant FTS teams and managers throughout the planning process to encourage information flow and engagement in forward planning. Lead, guide and support LBU Project & Operations Managers (as required) Performance management and development of direct reports (as required) Develop & implement standardised event operations management plans to include local safe systems of work, traffic management requirements, agreed pick up/set down points, staff and supplier information and contingency plans etc. Prepare and distribute communications briefs on operations management plans to relevant FTS staff/teams, suppliers, and customers. To ensure safety standards are always maintained during operational activity. Lead on liaising with external agencies, stakeholders, councils, police, etc. to ensure the safe and effective running of FTS services as required. Provide comprehensive post-event reports and updates to the Senior Leadership Team following the completion of major events and make recommendations for improvement (where required). To be flexible in the duties you carry out, which may vary from time to time depending on the needs of the business. Skills/Experience Planning & Delivery of major Sporting event transport operations Evidence of decision making under pressure Transport industry experience.
