Senior People Manager, UK & US – Communications Agency 4 days onsite / 1 day WFH Based London Are you an experienced People Manager with expertise in both UK and US employment law, ready to drive operational excellence within a fast-paced, international agency? Our client, a thriving SME communications agency, is seeking a Senior People Manager to ensure the seamless delivery of people processes across their UK and US teams, while partnering closely with stakeholders in both regions. About the Role This is a hands-on role that requires a confident operator who can manage day-to-day HR functions, implement best practices, and build strong stakeholder relationships across markets. Supporting 250 employees across the UK, US, and Asia, you will: Operational Leadership: Oversee the implementation and optimisation of core HR processes, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and alignment with company objectives. Cross-Market Expertise: Serve as the go-to advisor for all employment matters, leveraging your strong understanding of both UK and US employment laws to provide accurate, pragmatic guidance. Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with leaders across the UK and US, offering practical solutions to HR challenges and maintaining trust in a fast-changing environment. Employee Lifecycle Management: Ensure the smooth execution of HR processes, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and performance management. Team Leadership: Manage and develop the People Team to support the business effectively and deliver a best-in-class employee experience. Process Improvement: Identify and implement opportunities to enhance HR operations, driving efficiencies to support the business through its next growth phase. What We’re Looking For Operational Expertise: Proven success in delivering HR processes within a dynamic SME environment, ideally within communications, media, or creative industries. UK and US Employment Law Knowledge: In-depth understanding and practical application of employment laws in both the UK and US, with experience addressing HR issues in these markets. Global Stakeholder Management: Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to collaborate and influence senior leaders across multiple markets. Hands-On Approach: Comfortable with operational delivery while maintaining a proactive, problem-solving mindset. Commercial Awareness: A strong grasp of business priorities and the ability to align HR operations to support commercial objectives. CIPD Qualified (or equivalent): A recognised HR qualification to underpin your expertise. Why Join?
