Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
* Support Warehousing Manager with all warehousing tasks
* Cut to length chain & build up attachment chain for customer requirements
* Taking delivery of goods and supplies
* Checking for damaged or missing items when checking off new arriving goods
* Store goods appropriately
* Pick & Pack orders for dispatch
* Moving stock around by hand and using lifting equipment
* Ensure delivery of materials to production lines in accordance with production standards
* Input data regarding stock and inventory in to computerised system
* Keep accurate stock records
* Stock counts
* Ensure that all lifting and manoeuving of products is carried out in accordance with manual handling safety rules
