You will need to have some electrical knowledge with the ability to understand technical drawings and then manage all perimeters of the project life-cycle.
The role offers you a chance to be involved with all stages in a complete solution, including design, manufacture, installation, and customer handover.
Clear lines of communication and relationship building are also needed with the engineers and our installation partners.
This is an exciting opportunity for the right person, who will have an active role in reviewing and developing the company's delivery processes. The work is varied, interesting, and often fast-paced, requiring a high level of accuracy, good communication skills, and a sense of humour.
Responsibilities
1. Working with the Sales/Estimating team, Design, Administration, Engineers, Supply Partners, and Installation Partners to coordinate and manage the process from a handover that you will conduct through to site delivery and completion of the project, working to process and in a timely manner.
2. Communicating updates in the weekly team meeting.
3. Communicating items and issues to the customer, being their go-to person.
4. On site for two to three days per week, managing the installation partners, the customer's expectations, site meetings as required, and any other site-level items. The remainder of the week to be in the office ensuring all items raised at site level are addressed in a timely manner.
5. Reviewing, accepting, and querying any VO's that come to us from our partners, assisting in the preparation of VO's, and being the issuer of the document to the customer. Maintaining up-to-date records of such items.
6. Liaising with the team to ensure deliveries to site are efficient, on time, and follow the correct booking in procedures.
7. Carrying out any reasonable requests issued to you within the Company's scope of business.
Skills Required
1. Previous Project Management experience within the mechanical field is desired.
2. Project Management within the electrical industry. Full product training to be given, this may include site time with the installers.
3. A working knowledge of Building Services, including current installation processes would be advantageous.
4. Must be able to read, understand, and interpret Engineering drawings that will be issued for the installation process.
5. Must be IT literate, moderate skills in the Microsoft Office Suite required (Word, Excel, Outlook, PDF, Microsoft Project).
6. Must be a confident communicator and able to prioritise workloads with deadlines.
This is a site and office-based role, with travel to sites under your remit with the remainder of the time based in the office liaising with the design, estimating, and administration departments within this business.
