Role: Year 4 Class Teacher

Salary/Rate: £33,075 - £50,471

We at Supply Desk are seeking a Class Teacher with Key Stage 2 experience, who will be working with students at a lovely, Good school providing unconditional support.

The role/ Responsibilities:
1. Teach all subjects to KS2 as required.
2. Identify and adopt the most effective teaching approaches for KS2 pupils and keep abreast of contemporary educational issues.
3. Monitor teaching and learning activities in the classroom, take responsibility for a classroom and ensure that it remains a facility conducive to high quality education.
4. Identify and teach skills that will develop pupils’ ability to work independently.
5. Be a class teacher with specific academic oversight and direct pastoral responsibility for a class.
6. Prepare planning documentation, as required, in keeping with departmental schemes and policies.
7. Utilise ICT in their teaching and develop cross-curricular links.

1. Qualified teacher status.
2. Evidence of continued professional development.
3. Successful teaching experience in a relevant environment.
4. Evidence of managing resources.
5. Awareness of current developments in education and their implications for learners and teachers.
6. Understanding of the process of performance management.
7. Understanding of effective strategies for learning, teaching, and evaluation.
8. An interest in how pupils' learning can be extended at all levels.
9. Experience of classroom observations.
10. Experience of monitoring and evaluating the quality of learning and teaching.
11. Understanding characteristics of high achievement and their evaluation.
12. Understanding the target setting process.
13. Understanding effective use of data to improve learning.
14. Understanding the effective planning of the curriculum, including assessment for learning, recording, and reporting to parents.
