About the Role
Alex is an endearing 18-year-old young man who has a happy and playful disposition. He has autism and learning disabilities. As his family, we have always held high aspirations for him to live a good and full life doing the things that he loves the most. With the right people around him, we believe that he can achieve this and get the best from him.
Alex is at his happiest when he is riding the escalators and lifts in shopping centres. He loves the outdoors and feeling the breeze through his hair. When he wants to unwind, he likes nothing more than watching his favourite episodes of Teletubbies and Thomas the Tank Engine on YouTube.
Those who are sensitive to Alex’s moods will be able to reassure him when he is anxious and recognize when he needs his own company.
Alex is looking for fun, confident team members who will help him transition from school into his very own home. Team members need to be confident, happy, fun individuals that are able to set clear boundaries so that Alex feels safe.

Company Overview
PBS4 provides support to enable people with learning disabilities and challenging behaviour to have independent lives and to live in their own home. Our approach is underpinned by Positive Behaviour Support. Positive Behaviour Support is an approach mostly used to support people with learning disabilities whose behaviours challenge others. The goal is to shift the focus away from reducing challenging behaviour to understanding what that behaviour means and supporting people to get what they need better.
