About the Department
The Communications, Marketing and Recruitment (CMR) department plays a central role in telling the Goldsmiths story to our key audiences. The department covers internal communications, media relations, strategic communications, brand and design, digital (website, video and social media), marketing, business partnering, and UK and International recruitment. About the role
We are looking for a highly organised and detail-focused Events Officer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting with the planning and delivery of a range of events, including student recruitment activities, campus tours, conversion events, and graduation ceremonies.
Working closely with the Events Manager, you will ensure all event logistics run smoothly, from coordinating materials and managing bookings to delivering excellent customer service to attendees. This role also involves maintaining accurate records and ensuring all data is managed in line with Goldsmiths’ policies.
As the Events Officer, you’ll be a key part of creating memorable and impactful events that highlight the unique opportunities and experiences at Goldsmiths. Please note, this role will require regular weekend and evening work.

We are seeking a candidate with strong organisational skills, capable of managing multiple tasks while ensuring every detail is accounted for. Attention to detail is essential, as accuracy is critical in maintaining data records and managing event logistics. Exceptional customer service skills are also key, as you will interact with a diverse range of audiences, providing support and ensuring a positive experience. Flexibility and problem-solving abilities are crucial, as you will be the go-to person on event days, ready to adapt to any challenges that arise.
While experience in event coordination or working with diverse stakeholders is beneficial, what matters most is your enthusiasm, organisational ability, and commitment to delivering outstanding results.
