Your role will help us to enhance the Findability, Accessibility, Interoperability, and Reusability (FAIRness) of our datasets by implementing a FAIR metadata assessment tool, such as the F-UJI Tool (https://www.f-uji.net/). This type of tool evaluates FAIRness primarily by analysing metadata and their machine-readable elements. To enable this assessment, metadata from our data catalogue - the Discovery Metadata System - must first be converted into the ISO 19139 XML standard using existing libraries (e.g., metadata-library). The converted metadata will then be exposed through our CSW endpoint, allowing it to be harvested or queried using OGC-compliant metadata services.
