LinkLiving, a Scottish health and wellbeing charity, seeks a Peer Worker for its trauma-informed team. We prioritize empathy, respect, integrity, and care, supporting people to overcome trauma, mental health challenges, and inequality through services like personal development programs, self-help coaching, and social cafes.
**About the Service:**
Better Than Well supports adults in Fife (16+) with trauma histories, particularly those struggling to access other services. This peer-led initiative, *Managing Well*, adds groupwork options to help clients understand trauma’s impact, develop emotional regulation, and address mild to moderate mental health challenges.
**Role Overview:**
The Peer Worker will deliver Managing Well sessions within the Better Than Well framework, offering group support to trauma survivors. You’ll bring lived experience with mental health challenges, using it to foster understanding and resilience among clients.
**What We’re Looking For:**
- Lived experience with mental health services.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- A person-centered approach, emphasizing empowerment.
- Knowledge of self-help techniques and trauma’s impact on mental health.
- Flexibility, proactive well-being management, and reliable transportation.
- Desirable: Experience with self-help techniques like CBT.
