Job summary Deputy Ward Manager / Team Leader Band 6 Part Time - 37.5 Hours per week Permanent An exciting opportunity has arisen for Experienced Registered Nurses to join our Ward 33 team at Aintree University Hospital. You must be highly motivated, innovative and have a passion for delivering outstanding care to our patients and our community. Transforming stroke care is a priority within the NHS Long Term Plan. The merger of services will present a number of development opportunities for staff who are passionate about the care of stroke patients to further their careers in managerial, clinical roles or advanced clinical roles. There will be an opportunity to rotate and work across the Stroke Assessment centre, HASU and Stroke unit at Aintree. Main duties of the job The post holder will work without direct supervision and will take charge of the ward/ department in the absence of the ward/ department manager, who holds continuing responsibility. Key responsibilities will include the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care, effective leadership and staff management/development.
