For the successful Purchase Ledger Assistant, our client is offering:
1. Salary up to £25,000 per annum
2. Monday to Friday 8.30 am till 5.00 pm
3. Permanent position
4. Benefits: Free parking, 20 days + Bank Holidays + Pension
The role - Purchase Ledger Assistant:
1. Process supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy and correct coding to the ledger.
2. Match purchase orders to invoices and resolve discrepancies.
3. Assist in maintaining the purchase ledger system, ensuring all data is up to date.
4. Respond to supplier queries promptly and professionally.
5. Monitor accounts payable inbox and handle incoming correspondence.
6. Additional administration duties as instructed by the line manager.
What our client is looking for in a Purchase Ledger Assistant:
1. Previous experience in a similar purchase ledger/accounts payable role.
2. Experience with accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero, SAP) and Microsoft Excel - DESIRABLE.
3. Strong numerical skills and attention to detail - ESSENTIAL.
4. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
5. Able to cope under pressure.
