Summary of Role:
This is an exciting opportunity for Modelling Engineers to join the Raytheon Assured Position Navigation and Timing (APNT) Engineering team, supporting the delivery of complex, high-profile programmes.
Due to new contracts, the modelling team is expanding. We seek motivated Modelling Engineers with experience in system development, certification, and qualification, with an interest in DSP (Digital Signal Processing) and/or Navigation systems.
The role involves working in a highly technical environment, supporting the team and working autonomously, including laboratory testing of products.
Ability to tackle complex challenges and produce timely solutions following company processes is essential. The candidate should be comfortable working within a large team to achieve goals.
Main Duties:
* Modelling, simulation, and assessment of navigation systems, especially during conceptual to prototyping phases.
* Supporting model-based design for APNT system conceptual modelling and prototype development.
* Assisting in the design development of complex systems, particularly System-on-Chip.
Candidate Requirements:
* Experience with MathWorks tools such as MATLAB and Simulink.
* Strong analytical skills for solving complex problems.
* Understanding of modelling techniques and real-world validation.
* Experience with FPGA or embedded software design.
* Current SC security clearance or eligibility.
* Bachelor's Degree or PhD in Engineering, Physics, or related fields.
* At least 2 years of relevant modelling experience.
* Experience with Agile methodologies and work package management tools.
* Knowledge or experience in Navigation, Wireless Communications, or similar fields.
