THIS ROLE INVOLVES WORKING A FIXED, FOUR WEEK ROLLING ROTA WHICH COVERS DAYS, EVENINGS, WEEKENDS AND BANK HOLIDAYS. NO PERSONAL CARE INVOLVED.
As a Mental Health Recovery worker for NIHCSS your caseload will involve supporting our community clients in North Norfolk and our supported living clients in Norwich NR2.

NIHCSS is a partnership between Together for Mental Wellbeing and St Martins Housing. We support people over the age of 18 who have severe, complex and enduring mental health needs.
TO APPLY FOR THIS ROLE YOU MUST BE ABLE TO DRIVE AND HAVE ACCESS TO A VEHICLE THAT YOU ARE HAPPY TO USE FOR WORK PURPOSES AS THIS ROLE INVOLVES WORKING IN THE COMMUNITY - mileage expenses paid.
Key Responsibilities
As a Mental Health Recovery Support Worker at NIHCSS, you will have your own caseload and support individuals to engage in the service, to achieve their goals and aspirations through individual key work, targeted recovery outcome focused interventions and person centred planning.
As a Mental Health Recovery Support Worker, you will provide support utilising your fully flexible and personalised approach, acting as a support navigator to make creative use of the resources available to you.
As a Mental Health Recovery Support Worker, you will empower individuals to exercise choice and control and work alongside people to develop and review robust assessments, safety management plans and recovery support plans.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
You will support people who are going through a difficult time, drawing on your unique knowledge and experience to connect with others, by helping them discover their strengths and developing skills that will lead to wellness. This is only possible with the help of people like you! NIHCSS recognise and value lived experience of mental health challenges as an asset within our staffing teams. It brings co-production of services to the heart of all we do. We believe it is crucial to involve people with lived experience of mental health problems, and/or accessing mental health services, to ensure that the needs of service users are represented and reflected in our support. So, if you have personal experience of living with mental illness, have used mental health services or you have supported family or friends living with mental illness, we would love to welcome you into our dynamic, forward thinking team.
