You will be supporting with
Key responsibilities include:
1. Assist service users, who need support with personal care including showering, changing clothes, bed baths, and using the toilet.
2. Assist or prompt the service users in medication administration.
3. Assist the service users with mobility issues and other physical disabilities, using any equipment to support them for daily routines, including incontinence support.
4. Assist or prompt the service users to do their laundry and ironing, always trying to involve them in the task wherever possible.
5. Accompany clients to medical appointments and day centres.
6. Create an environment to promote mental and physical abilities for service users through conversations, supporting them in recreational activities, and assisting them in fulfilling their hobbies.
7. Assist with general tasks including cleaning, hovering, cleaning the commode after use, and changing beddings.
8. Carry out ‘wellbeing checks’ on each visit to the service users and update the Birdie app; if any concerns arise, report them to the line manager or care coordinator.
9. Join staff and resident meetings as needed to discuss any changes in care plans and provide suggestions to improve the quality of care.
10. Conduct and adhere to all policies and procedures within the home regarding health and safety of self and others.
11. Ensure safe working systems, agreed company practices, and policies and procedures.
12. Implement and supervise good care practices to deliver the Care Plans and reviews.
13. An NVQ Level 2 in Care, or willingness to attain this qualification is essential.
14. Maintain the service user’s documentation and report to the line managers.
15. Be responsible for delivering the person-centred care plan.
16. Provide an outstanding service which is safe, caring, responsive, effective, and well-led.
To achieve this, full training is provided in all aspects of care, meaning that no previous experience in care is necessary.
Pay: £11.50 - £14 per hour depending on experience.
