An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full-time (37.5 hours/week) Clinical Nurse Specialist in Cystic Fibrosis. We are seeking a highly motivated enthusiastic forward thinking adult trained nurses to join the multi-disciplinary Cystic Fibrosis Centre team based at St Bartholomew’s Hospital in The City London.
We provide a high-quality service caring for both adolescents and adults living with Cystic Fibrosis. As a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Cystic Fibrosis (CF) you will work closely with our established multidisciplinary team to develop and enhance a seamless approach to delivering care to our patient group through their lifespan.
Applicants are required to hold a current 1st level registration with the NMC on part 1 or part 12 of the NMC register. We would very much welcome applicants without previous experience in CF. Applicant should be able to identify how they would apply their previous experience to the position applied for. Previous experiences in respiratory medicine, gastroenterology, intensive care, oncology, diabetes, adolescent medicine high dependency nursing etc. would all be relevant. Applicants should be able demonstrate a level of experience in the complex issues associated with caring for young people and adolescents through their lifespan. Excellent interpersonal, communication and team working skills need to be evident and demonstrated.

To develop, implement and evaluate a seamless specialist Cystic Fibrosis (CF) & non-CF b ronchiectasis nursing service that is aimed at continuously improving standards of patient care and facilitating multi-professional working. This will be achieved through clinical practice, management, education, research and audit and professional activities taking into account directorate, corporate, and national policy and within the clinical governance framework.
The Cystic Fibrosis Clinical Nurse Specialist works alongside their senior colleague, the Cystic Fibrosis multidisciplinary team and helps co-ordinate the multidisciplinary service for adolescents and adults with Cystic Fibrosis.
