We’re searching for an inspiring Team Leader/Supervisor to join our vibrant shop in North Berwick, a stunning seaside town known for its bustling high street and picturesque seafront. Located just two streets from the shore, our shop is surrounded by a variety of independent boutiques and coffee spots and specialises in high end preloved items. You will be spoiled with excellent transport links, convenient parking, and Edinburgh just a 30-minute trip away as well as a stunning harbour, famous golf course and attractions like the Scottish Seabird Centre and "Fringe by the Sea". These combined factors make the perfect balance between work and lifestyle while breathing in that fresh coastal air. As well as working in one of Scotland’s most charming coastal towns, you will be leading an exceptional team. You’ll work alongside three dedicated team members and a small, friendly group of volunteers who bring enthusiasm and community spirit to everything they do. Together, you’ll help make our shop a welcoming haven for locals and visitors alike and be surrounded by people who are as dedicated to beating cancer as you are. Our shop specialises in high-end preloved items, so ideally you will have: A strong knowledge of brands and a great eye for quality. Visual merchandising expertise to create an inviting, stylish space. A passion for delivering an exceptional shopping experience that showcases our amazing variety of stock. Experience of leading and inspiring a diverse team of people. Experience of working in a fast paced/customer facing environment Flexibility, our retail teams cover the needs of their stores by working on a rota basis. Whilst a level of flexibility is needed to meet the needs of the business, we don’t forget that you have a life outside of work too Travel to meetings and training sessions as required What will I be doing? Manage the store commercially including - display and merchandising, stock management and generation, maintain shop standards, layout of store, opening and closing of store Support national stock initiatives including Marketplace and Distribution Centres Provide an excellent customer and supporter service Manage and support a team of people – both paid colleagues and volunteers (including in the managers absence) e.g. overall supervision of the team to include recruitment, training and induction and focus conversations. Work alongside the Shop Manager towards agreed targets – donated stock, cash, benchmark gift aid, average selling price, sell through, stock processing. As well as to achieve fundraising targets for CRUK campaigns throughout the year, including lottery, within the shop and local community Maintain compliance with Cancer Research UK policies – Health and Safety, Safeguarding, security, administration, HR and Sustainability Building networks within the local community – both within CRUK and externally How do I apply?
