About the role
An exciting opportunity awaits an enthusiastic and motivated Registered Nurse to join the Isle of Man Prison Health Care Team. Here, you'll provide expert nursing care, advice, and support to inmates at the Isle of Man Prison. Located in the North of the Island in Jurby West, just a five-minute drive from Ramsey, the prison features a dedicated healthcare wing staffed by a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.
Are you ready to play a pivotal role in shaping the provision of offender healthcare? This position offers a unique chance to gain experience across all aspects of nursing in an extraordinary environment. It is particularly suitable for professionals with backgrounds in Emergency Department, Mental Health, and Primary Care nursing. As a member of the Offender Healthcare team, you'll have ample opportunities to enhance your autonomy and broaden your scope of professional practice.
The healthcare team is part of the Integrated Primary and Community Care Group and is committed to delivering high-quality care and a variety of healthcare services to inmates, equivalent to those available in other primary care settings. Our goal is to encourage inmates to improve their health by promoting a healthier lifestyle.
If this sounds like a role you would enjoy, we would love to hear from you. Please submit a cover letter detailing your motivations for applying and any relevant experience you may have.
