Contract Type: Full Time, Permanent
Location: Home Counties, with travel to High Wycombe, Brize Norton, Shrivenham, Thatcham, Reading and Bicester
Working Hours: 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday + weekend work as necessary
Here at VIVO we are currently recruiting for a Roofer to join our team in the Home Counties, who will be working alongside the trades team of 23 to deliver reactive repairs to domestic MoD family housing.
You will primarily be working alongside a labourer or roofer’s mate, undertaking both temporary and full repairs, replacing felt and roof battens, repairing roof tiles, repointing and doing lead work on chimneys. You will also be clearing gutters, lifting, and transporting materials and assisting the other trades when necessary.
We are invested in developing our staff and in this role, there is opportunity to become PASMA certified along with gaining other training and qualifications.
What you’ll need for this role
First and foremost, this role is a mobile position and will include driving a company vehicle, therefore it is essential that you are comfortable with travelling and hold a full and valid UK driving licence.
You will have previous work experience in domestic roofing, and a strong understanding of working to health and safety legislation. As you will be interacting with customers, you will need to have previous experience in a customer facing role and have strong communication skills.
It is desirable that you have some other trade related experience but not essential.
You must be able to pass BPSS Clearance to be considered for this role.
