Role Purpose The Business Development Lead will drive growth by identifying, cultivating, and securing new business opportunities for BOW, positioning it as the go-to platform for robotics programming. The role involves developing strategic partnerships, expanding client relationships, and contributing to BOW’s overall business strategy. Key Responsibilities Develop, implement, and own the business development strategy, aligned with BOW’s goals and objectives. Identify key markets, industries, and sectors for growth, with a focus on robotics, automation, and software development. Conduct market analysis to understand trends, competitor positioning, and customer needs. Build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, including Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), developers, integrators, and industry leaders. The role requires a balance of strategic OEM partnerships and targeted developer acquisitions to meet our growth and revenue targets. Identify potential strategic partnerships and negotiate agreements that create mutual value. Act as the primary point of contact for partners during the negotiation and onboarding phases. Own the sales pipeline, ensuring consistent and sustainable growth. Working with Marketing, use and manage sales automation tools to accelerate lead generation and opportunity growth, such as Skylead, Hubspot, SoPro. Develop and present tailored proposals to prospective partners and clients. Negotiate and close commercial deals, ensuring profitability and alignment with strategic goals. Work collaboratively with current and future sales team members to ensure collective targets are met. Work closely with the marketing team to ensure campaigns align with BD objectives and generate qualified leads. Collaborate with the technical team to understand and communicate the capabilities and benefits of BOW’s products and services. Provide insights and feedback to the product team to ensure BOW’s product and services meets market needs. Represent BOW at industry events, conferences, trade shows, and other networking opportunities. Act as an ambassador for BOW’s vision, mission, and products, demonstrating deep knowledge of the robotics industry. Track, measure, and report on business development metrics, including leads, pipeline progression, and revenue generated, providing regular updates to the CEO and Board on progress against targets. Manage the entire sales cycle, from lead generation and qualification to closing deals and account management. Person Specification Essential Skills & Experience Minimum 5 years’ experience in business development or sales, preferably within technology, robotics, or SaaS industries. Proven ability to develop and implement successful business development strategies and partnerships across multiple countries. Strong relationship-building skills with a track record of negotiating and closing complex deals. Experience building long term relationships with OEMs or in B2B environments with technical products. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present to C-level executives and industry stakeholders. Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to balance strategic objectives and revenue targets. Ability to work and interact closely with technical team members. Desirable Skills & Experience Knowledge of robotics, automation, or software development ecosystems. Familiarity with the challenges and opportunities of working in a start-up or scale-up environment. Experience in managing or mentoring team members.
