Service Engineer
Basic Salary: £30,000 to £40,000

Responsibilities:
1. Service & installation of scientific equipment
2. Installation of equipment on customer sites around the world
3. Providing technical support to customers as well as distributors
4. Providing customer training, both in person and remotely via video
5. Supporting other departments such as design and production

As part of an SME, you'll be part of a close-knit engineering team responsible for test, installation, and commissioning of electro-mechanical scientific products. The team enjoys a positive environment, and many have been there for years! With growth comes opportunity, and they need an additional person to join the team.
The Service team works closely with all departments to ensure customers experience no issues with their new equipment. You will be responsible for providing technical support, diagnosing faults, and supporting the design team with testing new products. Customers are based all over the world, and there is a huge product range, keeping the days varied and interesting.
The Candidate: Test Engineer or Service Engineer
You will have most of the following skills and experience:
1. Electro-mechanical background
2. High attention to detail and able to read and interpret engineering drawings
3. Previously used equipment such as multi-meters, micrometers, and vernier gauges
4. Dexterous: comfortable with intricate hand work
5. Great communication skills
