Job introduction We are currently looking to recruit a Senior Social Worker within our Adult Safeguarding and Duty Service – a short term service which provides an urgent and preventative response to Adults in the City. We are seeking an experienced social worker; ideally experienced in Adults Social Work; however if your experience is in Children Social Work full training will be provided. Our Adult Safeguarding and Duty Service is a busy, supportive team, we work together to respond to our clients and professionals, some of whom can need urgent support including protection from harm and abuse; and care planning. As a Senior Social Worker, you will support the delivery of our statutory duties under the Care Act, providing oversight and support to staff in the assessment and management of risk. You will have strong leadership and supervisory skills, relevant experience of or strong desire to hold and supervise complex casework and be keen to continue your professional development. The successful candidate would have a broad understanding of care planning, safeguarding and co-ordinate proportionate and timely assessments to meet identified outcomes for Adults at the first point of contact. Additional information Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is less than 37 hours or term-time only.
