A fantastic opportunity for an IT Hardware Engineer has arisen at our manufacturing site based in Old Leake, Boston. The site employs over 700 people and specialises in making chilled Italian ready meals and pasta salads products for a dedicated customer. About Us. You’ll undertake responsibility for all Marco factory-based hardware, ensuring it is fully operational and any repairs are undertaken in timely manner. Another key aspect of the role will be the support and training of all factory system users. Accountabilities Ensuring that all Marco factory-based hardware is fully operational and that any repairs undertaken are completed within budget Delivering factory first line support to ensure that any Marco related issues are captured and resolved - this will also cover non-standard working hours Assisting with the training and business utilisation of Marco hardware, ensuring that all departments are using the system correctly Daily audit of all factory hardware and reporting back to site IS Manager with recommendations Ensure sure that all new starters have their user profiles and permissions set up and that all relevant paperwork is completed – Also removing all archive user details in conjunction with current procedures Supporting the correct management of the asset register through adding all relevant details into Agility As part of new product launches, set up and test all Line-Master products (PPM, Target Weight etc) About you Ideally, you will have previous experience within a similar role and preferably some knowledge of Server and a solid understanding of PC operating systems, Electrical and IT equipment, and their maintenance. A sound understanding of LAN, Business Security / Continuity and site Factory systems will be key, as will excellent problem-solving skills. If you are an organised, diligent, self-motivated individual, with an electrical background, who is willing to learn on the go by supporting factory hardware and its applications – this could be the perfect role for you.
