Quality Inspector – Mechanical
Hinkley Point C
Full Time, Permanent
Summary
We have a new vacancy for a Mechanical Quality Inspector to join us on the MEH Alliance working on the Hinkley Point C construction project.
Some of the key deliverables in this role will include:
1. Perform inspections in accordance with the ITP (Inspection and Test Plan).
2. Liaise with client’s representative for conducting day-to-day inspections during construction activities.
3. Ensure installation of equipment complies with ECS Code, drawings, vendor, and code requirements with respect to material, alignment, etc.
4. Assist QC Manager and Area Leads in executing their responsibilities.
5. Maintain LTQRs as required during inspections ensuring all signatures on LTQR and ITP during inspection.
6. Update SONIM register as required.
7. Champion Foreign Material Exclusion, preventing ingress or entrapment of non-specified materials, loose items, or debris in equipment and/or systems during assembly and testing.
What we're looking for:
1. Qualifications in a relevant engineering discipline, ONC / HNC / HND (or equivalent experience).
2. Substantial experience in responsible inspection positions.
3. Demonstrable experience on all types of rotating (including alignment and seals) and static equipment.
4. Prior experience on major projects, preferably nuclear or other heavily regulated industries.
