Role purpose The Digital Solutions business provides an extensive range of specialist software applications which are used by more than 3,000 organisations to improve and automate daily tasks from critical front line services to back office administration. Informed by deep experience and insight, we work with customers to streamline essential business activities, raise standards and save money. Working within our Digital Business the Business Development Director will be responsible for generating opportunities within the Defence sector We are looking for candidates who have background in selling Consulting and/or Professional services into one or more of the following Vertical Markets - MOD Defence Principal Responsibilities & Tasks Demonstrate the ability to build business-class relationships and to foster trust with decision makers. Identify opportunities which represent closable business Qualify opportunities in terms of chance of success, competition, timescales, procurement process and win criteria Report on activity and maintain accuracy of internal sales systems Have working knowledge of the application development and application management marketplace. Attend industry functions such as association events and conferences; provide feedback and information on market and creative trends. Present to and consult with mid and senior-level management on business trends with a view to developing new services, products, and distribution channels. Identify opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels that will lead to incremental sales. Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop the company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators. demonstrate a dynamic approach to generating incremental revenues within the sector and lead opportunities of value ranging from £100k to £2m, with some being worth in excess of £5m
