About The Role
We are looking for a talented and ambitious Senior Quantity Surveyor who is dedicated to providing an excellent service, to join our growing and successful Residential team in London or Guildford.

The Responsibilities
1. Taking the lead on a range of construction projects and supervising the work of the quantity surveyors, assistants and apprentices in your team and helping them to fulfil their potential.
2. Acting as the principal point of contact with the project client and the other consultants on the design team pre and post contract.
3. Working independently and taking responsibility for the successful delivery of RJA's QS / EA / PM services on all projects you and your team are working on.
4. Taking responsibility for allocated Key Client Accounts, building a relationship with the Key Client(s), ensuring complete satisfaction with RJA services, and nurturing new work opportunities.
5. Training and assisting others, including the preparation and presentation of in-house CPD events.
6. Actively seeking new project opportunities for RJA Consultants and promoting the services of the practice at every opportunity including attendance and involvement at appropriate networking and marketing events.
7. Acting as a Quantity Surveyor on traditional projects or as Employer's Agent on Design and Build projects.
8. Following the company Quality Management System in the delivery of all services.
9. Managing multiple projects simultaneously and developing excellent time management strategies.
10. Treating all clients to exceptional level of service.
The Person
Candidates will be able to demonstrate the following attributes:
1. Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Cost Management or a related field.
2. Ideally, a Chartered member of the RICS, or a commitment to achieve Chartered status within 2 years.
3. Extensive experience in running own projects quantity surveying and/or employer's agent or project management for either a Private Practice, Construction Company or related organisation.
4. Proficiency in measurement, ideally using CostX Measurement Software.
5. Experience in running large, complex projects independently.
6. Strategically minded with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
8. Excellent organisational and managerial skills.
9. Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
10. Skilled negotiator.
11. Driving licence and own car.
12. Willingness to travel to sites across the UK as required.
