Applications are invited for the post of Fixed Term Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at the United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust based at Lincoln County Hospital.
Main duties of the job
Women’s Health Clinical Business Unit has 3 specialties, Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Breast Services. The service is delivered over the 4 main sites; Pilgrim, Louth, Lincoln and Grantham, as well as smaller peripheral sites. The Departments are very busy and work in a friendly and high pressure environment.
It is essential that applicants can demonstrate possession of equivalent experience within Gynaecology and Labour Ward practice, with appropriate qualifications.

Person specification
Qualifications
* Full GMC Registration
* MRCOG or Equivalent
* CCST or equivalent
* ATSM in Advanced labour ward practice
Clinical experience and effectiveness
* Clinical training and experience in general obstetrics and gynaecology equivalent to that required for a UK CCST
* Must be proficient in obstetrics and Labour ward
* Must be proficient in managing acute gynaecology and early pregnancy problems
Management and administrative experience
* Experience in developing clinical guidelines, policies and care pathways
* Evidence of management, administration and audit experience
Teaching and training experience
* Experience of supervising junior medical staff.
* Certification in Medical education
Personal attributes
* Motivation and enthusiasm to drive change and service transformation.
* Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, patients, relatives, GPs, nurses and other agencies
* Team player with enthusiasm and ability to work under pressure
* Good organisational and management skills
* Resident within 10 miles or 30 minutes of the hospital
