We are recruiting on behalf of a Furniture and Soft Furnishings client that specializes in the Care, Healthcare, and Hospitality markets for a Business Development Manager.
Key Responsibilities
1. Achieve and succeed sales targets set monthly/quarterly and annually.
2. Management of key national accounts and growth within key account clients.
3. Develop and share a robust strategy to target potential clients “suspects” who can be converted into prospects and future key account customers.
4. Follow-up of all sales opportunities.
5. Maximize sales and create/maintain strong relationships with existing customers in your focus sector, via online and face-to-face meetings and client project presentations.
6. Win new customers within the private and public sector mental health market from initial approach through to onboarding.
7. Manage and update the CRM (Pipedrive) system for your clients daily; this includes booking your own client meetings and weekly diary management.
8. Work with the sales director to produce an initial 90-day action plan relating to your roles and responsibilities and how you will deliver the key deliverables of the role in the first 90 days.
Salary/Commission/Company Benefits
Salary guide of £35 – 40K per annum.
Company commission structure in place for sales targets achieved and sales activity targets.
The following benefits will be provided to assist with the role: Company phone & laptop, company car allowance.
Holiday allowance: 25 days plus bank holidays per annum, plus 1 extra day for your birthday, following a successful probation. Approximately 4 days are to be reserved for the company's shutdown over Christmas.
A Typical Week
Approx 3 days of client meetings on the road and 2 office days in Basildon office.
Manage and structure your time and meetings 1 to 2 weeks in advance, and report to the Sales Director at the end of each week with previous week's activities and the following week's confirmed appointments.
Report to Sales Director all activities and KPIs weekly.
Attend weekly sales meetings.
BDM Role Overview
You will be self-motivated and possess excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. You will possess strong business development and sales skills with a proven track record in account management and winning business. Full product and company systems training will be provided to ensure you are fully equipped to achieve success. Sales training/coaching/mentoring will be ongoing as part of the role. Sales/general meetings at Welltex Head Office will be required on Tuesdays, and will generally require you to be in attendance in person. Attendance to daily team stand-up meetings at 7.30 am in person/teams/phone, where applicable; if out on the road, notes can be sent into the team.
