Cost Manager - Yorkshire (Leeds)

We are currently assisting a client who are looking to hire a Cost Manager to join a client focused team within the Leeds or Sheffield office. This is an exciting opportunity to join and strengthen the Cost Management team.
This role presents an excellent opportunity for a proactive candidate to take responsibility for providing all core Quantity Surveying services on a number of interesting projects, for a number of dynamic clients across a variety of sectors.

Key Responsibilities:
* Preparation of indicative cost budgets and appraisals.
* Preparation of elemental cost plans.
* Providing advice and view in respect of our client development plans and expectations.
* Providing advice on procurement strategy
* Preparing and issuing tender documents.
* Scrutinizing and verifying applications for interim payments.
* Producing cost reports and cost forecasting.
Candidate Profile
* Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or similar technical discipline.
* MRICS or working towards is desirable but not essential
Experience:
* Strong technical delivery experience.
* Ability to successfully manage complex projects in a proactive and diligent manner.
* Strong Feasibility and cost planning experience
* Pre and Post contract experience of a range of schemes.
* Experience of providing procurement advice, tender documentation and post contract services.
* Previously employed by a consultancy or end user client.
