IP Litigation Associate NQ or c1 – 2 years PQE +
Venner Shipley is a leading European intellectual property firm. Following our combination with AA Thornton, our firm has a headcount of 230, including 46 partners, across six offices in the UK (London, Cambridge, Guildford, Manchester, Tunbridge Wells, and Oxford), as well as offices in Munich and Alicante. Together, we offer the full range of IP services, including patents, trade marks, designs, litigation, and licensing.
We are seeking to further expand our Litigation team in line with our growth plans and increasing client demand with the appointment of an IP Litigation Associate to join our current team of two partners, another IP Litigation associate, and paralegals.
The role will involve supporting existing clients from the combined firms while also contributing to the growth of new business opportunities. This is a unique opportunity to play a role in building our contentious service offering whilst benefiting from collaboration with our talented team of attorneys, solicitors and barristers across the firm, delivering outstanding solutions for our clients.
Our ideal candidate will be a newly qualified IP Solicitor, or someone with c1 – 2 years PQE (or higher), capable of pro-actively managing their own diverse case load across a range of patent, trade mark, design right, and copyright litigation matters. Comfort with handling non-contentious IP assignments and licences, IP audits, etc, is also desirable. Suitable candidates will be excited by the opportunity of working with multi-skilled teams of attorneys and solicitors to provide excellent service and high-quality solutions for our clients. We are looking for an exceptional candidate who can strike a balance between technical expertise and being comfortable working with a range of scientific topics, combined with an interest in developing business and a practical, legal and analytical approach to their work.
This is a pro-active role requiring a high level of professionalism, where you will be expected to demonstrate your worth and calibre. The role offers an outstanding opportunity to establish oneself in a thriving and growing practice where progression is actively encouraged.
