Randstad are working alongside a major name in construction and civil engineering to recruit for a Building Services Manager on a permanent basis in the North West who are currently working on a project in Barrow in Furness.
The Building Services Manager will be responsible for the following:
* Making sure client requirements are met and proposals reflect their needs and the contract.
* Making sure all Building services needs are met, reflected in the building and fabric with information delivered in good time and managin the Design, Drawings and approvals process.
* Making sure projects comply with building regulations, planning conditions, specifications and any 3rd part accreditations
* Supporting Planning teams in making sure building services are fully integrated into the delivery programme and execution plans
* Monitoring progress against targets and assisting the project management team with making sure specialist contractors resource and approach the project as needed
* Support the quantity surveying and commercial teams with review of changes to contract and valuations of the work
* Managing the commissioning process and training to make sure all systems operate as design, design and validation teams are satisfied and building users trained in operation
* Attending client progress and technical meetings
* Chairing specialist design, progress, and commissioning meetings
The successful Building Services Manager will ideally have the following skills and experience:
* Have experience of managing design, delivery, and commissioning of Building services in a construction environment
* Be technically qualified in a mechanical or electrical trade within a consultancy, main contractor or sub contractor management background.
* Hold a BTEC in Building Services Engineering, Operations and Maintenance Engineering or Electrical or mechanical Building Services to HNC/ HND level or have a degree in Building Services Engineering.
