Salary: £425 to £450 per week
Contract: Temporary to Full Time
Hours: Monday to Friday (8:30 - 3:30pm)

Teaching Personnel are seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant for an Ofsted 'Outstanding' SEN school in Du. The pupils at this school are aged between 4 - 19 and have severe and profound learning difficulties including those with Autistic Spectrum Conditions and complex medical needs. The school's curriculum is driven by five key areas: Communication, Thinking, Well-being, Body, and World. The school offers personalised provision that utilises the young person's Education Health Care Plan (EHCP) to tailor our approach, addressing barrier to learn. The school also strives to offer opportunities for practical learning, using the local environment to develop and apply skills.
The successful candidate should be available Full Time (Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 15.30pm) and should have confidence in their ability to work with SEN students on a 1:1 basis, as well as in a small group basis. Candidates should also be able to deal with challenging behaviour by utilising the appropriate techniques and approaches to calm down the individual.
Requirements & Responsibilities:
- Experience working with SEN in a school or similar environment (desirable)
- 1:1 or small group working experience with vulnerable people (desirable)
- Support the teaching and learning of SEN pupils across the school
- Motivate, engage, and inspire young people to learn and participate
- Support the teacher with general classroom and behaviour management

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
