SEN Teaching Assistant
Are you an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant with SEMH experience?
Are you available to start immediately after the Christmas break?
This exciting SEN Teaching Assistant vacancy is the perfect opportunity for anyone who is looking to work 1:1 and in small groups within a Resource provision of a Secondary school in South Wakefield. The role is starting in January on a full-time basis Monday to Friday, paying from £90-£110 per day depending on experience.
SEN Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:
1. Support various pupils of different ages within the provision in the school.
2. Support the teaching and learning of pupils and follow the school's policies and procedures.
To be considered for the SEN Teaching Assistant role you should have:
1. The ability to quickly build positive relationships with both staff and students.
2. Experience of working in schools - primary and/or secondary.
3. Experience of working with pupils with SEMH.
4. Understanding of de-escalation and managing challenging behaviour.
5. Be resilient in working with children who can display extreme behaviour.
SEN Teaching Assistant Salary and Benefits:
