At its core, our Salaried GP's work as amember of the Practice team and provide a critical role in deliveringappointments and access to our registered population. We are an innovative andforward-thinking Practice, open to making improvements and constantly reviewingthe needs of our patient population to ensure we are meeting expectation with amulti-skilled healthcare professional team to support with this.

Main duties of the job
Our Salaried GP could expect to beissued a workplan upon joining the Practice of which would consist ofappointment lists which would include a combination of face to face, telephone,video consultations, home visits and in time online consultations. We have acurrent on call rota which is shared across the GP Partners and Salaried GPs. We would look for the Salaried GPto have a list holding mentality, offering continuity and ongoing casemanagement alongside associated administrative workloads including managementof results, meds management and all other associated patient admin.
As a Practice that is very keen oneducation and development, we would be looking for support to the many medicalstudent placements and allocations that we take and are keen to look to developthe training practice aspects of our Practice over time of which there isopportunity to be part of we also welcome applications from any GPs thatcurrently educational / clinical supervisors presently.
You would work closely and be supportedby our GP Partners, Salaried GPs, Clinical Pharmacist, Practice Nurses,Physician Associates, alongside our Primary Care Network colleagues of ClinicalPharmacists, Mental Health Practitioner, First Contact Physio, Social, Health& Wellbeing Practitioners, and Care Home Teams. In addition to this you would have regularcontact and engagement with the various non-clinical teams across the Practice.

In purpose-built premises inside StAnnes Health Centre, with a current patient population of around 12,100patients.
Located in the seaside town of St Annesalong the Fylde Coast, we are minutes away from the sea front, with directlinks to the M55 & M6.

Our excellent multi-skilled Clinical Team comprises of 8 GPs(Partner & Salaried), Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Clinical Pharmacist,Physicians Associate, Practice Nurses & Healthcare Assistants.
Supporting our Partnership, clinicalteam and the patient journey through the Practice, our team also includes ourManagement Team, Receptionists, Patient Advisors, Workflow Administrators, MedicalSecretaries and Medicines Management Team.
Alongside offering the standardcontractual requirements of General Medical Services in Primary Care, we do inaddition have enhanced bespoke services to our patients in Minor Surgery,Microsuction and are also one of the Covid Vaccination sites within our PrimaryCare Network.

Clinical Responsibilities
1. Commitment to high quality, safe care that supports clinical continuity for those patients and clinical circumstances where required.
2. Mixed-media (Face to Face, Telephone, Video, Online) sessions for patient contact covering both same day and planned care as required.
3. Carry out home visits for both same day / planned care for patients.
4. Manage pathology results for tests generated through patient contacts, with a shared responsibility in the absence of other colleagues.
5. Manage and action medication requests including answering queries, authorisation of medication, with a shared responsibility in the absence of other colleagues. Generic prescribing adhering to local and national guidance.
6. Manage clinical administration as directed through the Practices workflow systems for items generated through patient contacts, with a shared responsibility in the absence of other colleagues.
7. Participate in the on-call rota and duties of the role, a shared responsibility and allocation with other GP colleagues.
8. Provide guidance and support to other members of the practice team including Clinical Pharmacist, Practice Nurses, Healthcare Assistants, Physician Associates, Medical Placements, and non-clinical colleagues as needed.
9. Quality improvement and audit work where there is an identified need.
10. Attention to detail by use of appropriate coding, note keeping and flagging of any system issues as they arise.
11. Manage and raise safeguarding concerns in line with practices processes and in liaison with the Safeguarding Lead
12. Effective management of long-term conditions
13. Commitment to self-learning and instil an ethos of continuous development and improvement.
14. Supporting the training of medical students / observational work placements from all clinical and non-clinical disciplines
15. Support the Partnership in achieving the strategic aims of the practice, making recommendations to enhance services / changes to improve quality of care or service delivery.
16. Support and participate in any areas of prescribing incentive workloads and workstreams.
17. Support and participate local initiatives to enhance service delivery and patient care.
18. Participate in review of significant and near miss events applying a structured approach.
19. Support and participate in the practices approach to infection control and prevention in line with systems, policies, and direction of the IPC lead for the practice.
20. Consider taking lead approaches in areas were considered appropriate and or of interest in agreement with the partnership.
