About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to join a friendly multi-disciplinary team and play an important role working on a number of clinical trials. The post-holder will work across several national and international ones to achieve accurate and reliable data collection amongst other duties.
What you would be doing
Your responsibilities will include the checking of patient data into a clinical database, checking for errors and inconsistencies in patient data at the point of data entry, review of patient data listings and the preparation of data queries where errors or inconsistencies in patient data are found. You will be responsible for reviewing the collection of clinical research data for cancer clinical trial(s) protocols. Working closely with Clinical Trials managers, clinical trial practitioners and Research Nurses, you will raise data queries, prepare for monitoring visits, and ensure that all records are compliant with EU Regulations relating to Clinical Trials and Research Governance.
Your role is key to ensure the team is efficient in rolling out and running of studies, ensuring support to trial managers in study registrations, updating trials information, supporting with study site set ups and arranging lab kit shipments as well as purchasing. You will work closely with the Trial Managers in managing recruitment, site set up, data checks, on site and remote monitoring and communication with sites.
In addition, you will provide core administrative support to the study and contribute to the collection of data. You will also help with trials purchasing and distribution of kits as well as preparing essential study materials.

* A well-organised person, with attention to detail to undertake the day-to-day administrative tasks of our portfolio of studies.
* Experience working with clinical data and will be developed to monitor clinical research trials.
* Communicate well with all members of the internal study teams, sites and site teams and Sponsors.
* Ability to show initiative, work independently and contribute to new ideas and processes.
* Work with other members of the team to ensure quality standards are adhered to and confidentiality maintained.
* To attend regular meetings with other staff, including the PI and other trial staff.

This role is full time, fixed term position for 12 months based at Hammersmith Campus.
The Cancer & Haematology Academic Research Team (CHART) is a new clinical trials team working across Imperial College London and Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust to deliver world class clinical trials of all phases at national and international levels.
