Cheshire West and Chester Council are ambitious for children and young people in our care. We seek to enable a progressive culture where creativity can flourish, where innovation and thinking differently can be embraced and where ambition and high aspiration for children to improve their outcomes can be upheld for every child.
We are looking for highly motivated, reflective, and creative professionals to assist our Registered Managers in the delivery and operation of high-quality, cost-effective children’s home through the effective management of staff, supervision of practice and setting of standards. You will need to be a strong team player with great communication skills and a commitment to working collaboratively.
There are two roles available to be based at our new residential provisions located in Ellesmere Port and Northwich. The homes will be:
1. a solo provision in Ellesmere Port that will support young people in short-term placements whilst they are bridging to another placement or so that their needs can be assessed to help identify a long-term placement.
2. a four-bed provision in Northwich which will support young people in long-term placements.
You should have experience of working with vulnerable children and experience at leading, inspiring and motivating people in this type of setting to ensure exceptional care for children. This is an exciting job opportunity for someone who is motivated by the prospect of being part of a team who are taking forward the expansion of our residential service. The successful candidate would also be willing to work within other homes within the service when support is required.
We provide a range of employee benefits, including salary sacrifice car, technology, and bicycle schemes. We also offer a range of shopping discounts and an annual leave purchase scheme. In addition to this, our contribution-related reward scheme provides high-performing employees with a range of rewards.
We reserve the right to close this vacancy as soon as we have received enough applications for the role, therefore we encourage you to make your application without delay.
For an informal discussion about the role please contact Eifion Burke at Eifion.Burke@cheshirewestandchester.gov.uk.
