About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Biology Teacher to join our vibrant and high-achieving school in Derbyshire. The successful candidate will be passionate about inspiring students to explore the wonders of biology and fostering a love for science. You will play a vital role in delivering engaging lessons to students aged 11-18, including at GCSE and A-level.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver high-quality biology lessons aligned with the national curriculum.
* Inspire students to achieve their full potential through engaging teaching methods.
* Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support learning.
* Contribute to the development of the science department and curriculum planning.
* Participate in extracurricular activities, such as science clubs, field trips, or competitions.
* Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning for all students.
About You
The ideal candidate will:
* Hold a relevant degree in biology or a related field.
* Possess a teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
* Demonstrate excellent subject knowledge and a passion for biology.
* Have experience teaching at secondary school level, including GCSE and A-level.
* Show a commitment to creating an inclusive and dynamic learning environment.
* Be an effective communicator with strong organizational skills.
