When completed, it will provide dependable electricity to 6 million homes for 60 years, which along with renewables, will support Britain to achieve Net Zero by 2050. We're on the lookout for a dynamic and driven Project Manager to lead groundbreaking engineering projects and drive the delivery of critical contracts. You’ll be at the forefront, overseeing essential engineering workstreams, procurement, and manufacturing, ensuring successful project execution and pushing the boundaries of innovation. The Role You'll focus on one of our key project areas. Whether it's advancing the Mechanical, Electrical, and HVAC (MEH) delivery model for Sizewell C, leading a £100 million program in the Nuclear Island, or developing strategies for Civil Works worth up to £50 million, you’ll be an essential player in ensuring these large-scale operations run smoothly, on time, and on budget. You could also take charge of the Conventional Island and Balance of Plant program, managing contracts worth up to £100 million, all while securing resources that meet our business and technical needs. This is your opportunity to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, drafting high-stakes contracts, managing interfaces, and integrating vital design changes. You’ll engage early with suppliers, mitigate risks, and ensure that our lessons from previous projects are captured and applied. You’ll be pivotal in ensuring the seamless execution of contracts, managing costs, risks, and schedules with finesse, and maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality. With our flexible, hybrid working model, you’ll enjoy the balance of working between our offices and from home, supported by a full suite of IT equipment to ensure you’re set up for success. Skills: • Led projects through full lifecycle, from concept to handover. • Background in mechanical, chemical, or related engineering for large-scale projects. • Skilled in contract management, including KPIs, changes, disputes, and maintaining contractor relationships. • Proven team leader, fostering positivity in complex environments. • Achievements in engineering design, procurement, construction, and commissioning. • Delivery-focused, adept at resolving challenges and driving teams to meet targets. • Strong understanding of major project interfaces and scope management. • Effective communicator in client and contractor-facing roles. • Experienced in leading multidisciplinary teams to achieve goals. • Technical expertise to specify requirements and guide delivery. • Knowledge of NEC, FIDIC, and risk management practices. • Certified in project management (PMP, PMQ, or equivalent). Desirable: • Nuclear knowledge of new build, decommissioning, and operation nuclear power plant. • Previous engineering or project management experience in the nuclear industry. • Previously working experience in high safety and quality required environment such as Oil &Gas, MoD • Previous equipment procurement and management experience. • Good knowledge of FIDIC DMS contract.
