Contract RPG Analyst Developer

£385 per day + VAT

WRK digital are delighted to be shortlisting for experienced Contract AS400 / RPG Analyst Developers to join an enterprise technology team in West Yorkshire. The contract is an initial 6 month engagement with a strong chance of renewal across a 2 year programme of work. You must be UK based as this role requires onsite time at their Yorkshire HQ.
The successful candidate will be a key member of the global ERP support and development team, who are responsible for supporting the ERP systems and will also manage small sized projects and ensure delivery to specification, time, quality and budget.
You will have experience working across the full SDLC with principal responsibilities including:
Support
- Provide technical support to ERP systems customers.
- Incident and problem management
- Proactive monitoring and health checks
- Adhere to incident management controls, tools and SLA’s
- Adhere to SOX controls and procedures.
Development
- Evaluate customer needs and requirements
- Design and development
- Test solution and present to UAT
- Implementation to production systems
- Post implementation hyper support
Training
- Provide appropriate training and materials for delivered solutions
Essential Criteria:
• At least 5 years of experience as an RPG Developer including using Free Format
• Experience in designing and building ERP applications
• Experience in supporting ERP systems
• Must be approachable and have excellent interpersonal skills both on the phone and in person.
• Ability to work independently, adapt easily and handle crisis situations.
• Be ambitious and strive for continuous improvement, both for the team, and personally.
• Socially confident, with strong influencing skills
• Methodical, analytical, and conscientious approach, particularly regarding customer service.
• Demonstrable experience of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) using associated tools.
• Skilled in the production of functional and detailed design specification documents.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills.
• Able to learn new systems quickly.
• At ease working under pressure to cost and time deadlines
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Flexible approach – the position will occasionally be required to provide on-call support
