In a period of expansion, our client is looking for a Health and Safety Compliance Manager to join their team as an integral member. You will manage all internal but most importantly external Compliance for an engineering firm.

As the Health and Safety Compliance Manager your role will include:
Maintaining and reviewing Aspect & Legislation Registers (EMS Registers).
Monitoring REACH/RoHS legislation, updated every 6 months with restricted substances.
Confirm to all customers requiring that new restricted substances are not contained in products they purchase.
All suppliers meet anti terrorism regulations required by some customers.
Maintaining and reviewing Health & Safety Legislation Register (Encompassed in EMS Register).
Including addition of any new legislation, its applicability to BA, Audit requirements and monitoring amendments to current legislation.
Ordering PPE and first aid equipment ensuring first aid room is stocked.
Ensuring Necessary first aids training is carried out when required as well as organizing occupational health checks/screening required for employees in certain areas.
Scanning and ensuring press checks (guard) records are done.
Compiling monthly health and safety reports.
Reviewing and updating departmental risk assessments for current and new processes
Completing COSSH assessmentsThe ideal candidate for this role will have:
Proven experience in compliance management is essential.
Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and reporting requirements.
Experience conducting internal audits and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
Ability to communicate complex compliance issues clearly and effectively at all levels of the organisation.
A proactive approach to problem-solving with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
