The curriculum lead is the leader of the teaching team, overseeing all things curriculum, practices and education.
The role of the curriculum lead is to work closely with the centre business manager to ensure a high-quality curriculum is provided for every child within the centre. The curriculum lead also ensures a well-planned educational and developmental journey for every child using Te Whāriki as the base. The curriculum lead role consists of 4 days supporting the classroom environment with routines, rituals, practices and team dynamics, and 1 day in the office with a focus on PGCs, evaluation, planning, and assessment.
The main objectives:
* Responsible for the effective leadership and management of personnel employed at the centre
* Ensure the strategic, operational and financial objectives of the centre are met
* Ensure a high-quality educational programme is delivered
* Develop and implement the centre strategic plan
* Support and implement the centre annual plans
* Build strong relationships with centre families/whānau, children and staff
* Responsible for day-to-day positive interactions with all personnel in the centre
* Review, adhere to and implement all policies, procedures and regulations as outlined in the Centre Operations Manual and Employee Handbook
* Actively support and implement the Centre Philosophy.
