Fire and Building Safety Advisor\n\nSunderland\n\nPermanent\n\nHybrid working - offering flexibility to work between their Sunderland office and home.\n\n£45,111 PA plus benefits\n\n36 hours per week - Monday to Friday (12.30 Finish on Friday)\n\nYou will need a full driving licence and undergo a basic DBS check. \n\nMy client is currently restructuring part of their Health, Safety, Risk and Assurance Team to continue providing the best service to their customers and colleagues. This brings a great opportunity to join their award-winning team.
\n\nThey are looking for an experienced person to ensure they comply with the requirements of the Building Safety Act 2022 by developing and maintaining a digital twin and safety case for each high-rise residential premises.\n\nKey responsibilities:\n\nSupport the Fire and Building Safety Manager in the implementation and continuous improvement of the Group's fire risk and building safety management systems.\n\nUndertake suitable and sufficient fire risk assessments across the Group's property portfolio in accordance with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 and preparing associated reports. This includes a variety of premises including high-rise residential buildings and sheltered and extra care schemes.\n\nQuality reviewing an agreed number of fire risk assessments completed by other competent colleagues in accordance with the BAFE SP205 certification system.\n\nSupport the Building Safety Advisor - Customer Engagement and Communication to effectively implement the resident engagement strategy on building safety in high-rise residential buildings.\n\nWork with relevant internal and external stakeholders to develop and maintain a digital twin, safety case and safety case report for each relevant property. \n\nSupport the Fire and Building Safety Manager and Head of Fire and Building Safety to submit a Building Assessment Certificate application for each relevant property to the Building Safety Regulator when required.\n\nIdeally you will have:\n\nExperience of undertaking fire risk assessments, particularly (but not exclusively) in the housing or property management sectors, in line with the PAS 79 standard.
\n\nExperience of undertaking fire risk assessments in high-rise residential buildings.\n\nExperience of the effective management of fire safety, particularly (but not exclusively) in the housing or property management sectors.\n\nLevel 4 (minimum) certificate in a fire or building safety related discipline.\n\nMembership of a relevant professional body, such as the Institute of Fire Engineers, at a minimum of Member level.\n\nEligibility to join the Nationally Accredited Fire Risk Assessors Register (NAFRAR) at Tier 3 (or willing to work towards)\n\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate information to a wide range of different stakeholders.\n\nFor further information regarding the role please sent your updated CV to:\n\nRandstad CPE values diversity and promotes equality.
