Overview
Our client provides an extensive range of specialised IT solutions and systems for the private healthcare market including practice management systems, online billing, secure messaging and clinical coding tools. They are now seeking a Business Development Manager to join their fast growing team.
You will be expected to build and leverage strong strategic relationships across the private healthcare sector. Provide value based, data driven and consultative selling techniques to create integrated positive outcomes, and drive innovation through shared insights and aligned goals
Salary: £45,000 with OTE £20,000
The Role
1. Develop a growth strategy focused on financial gain for the business and customer satisfaction.
2. Conduct research, fact finding and explore broad ranging customer contacts to identify new markets and customer needs.
3. Arrange regular telephone and where appropriate face to face meetings with customers and prospects.
4. Promote products/services to address customer objectives and make presentations where needed.
5. Support customers where appropriate to ensure their regulatory, contractual and law established rules and guidelines are adhered to.
6. Keep an accurate and up to date log/report (within the CRM and individually) of all contacts, development conversations, pipeline business, forecasts and sales made.
7. Develop strong business relationships with customers.
Client Retention
8. Maximise business relationships and engagement to minimise any potential lapses or cancellations
Business Development Planning
9. Build and maintain a robust sales business plan.
10. Attend industry functions, such as association events and conferences
11. Provide feedback and information on market and current trends
12. Responsible for achieving individual performance and sales targets
13. Plays an active role in ongoing training and self-development.
The Person
14. 3+ years in a Business Development environment with a focus on sales and winning new business.
15. Proven business development manager who is used to working to targets
16. Proven track record in consultative selling and winning new business
17. Proven track record of increasing revenue through generation of leads
18. Account management experience
19. Ability to manage and track lead generation and a sales pipeline through CRM or a sales management system
20. Experience in the Private Healthcare industry advantageous but not essential
